Tradewars is played on a computer set up to be the 'game server' or host. The TWGS or Trade Wars Game Server, has an address that is advertised on public websites or a private email invitation. Players can scan the 'Game Rebang' section of their favorite tradewars website. EIS has an established public forum at ClassicTW.com.
Using a Comm program, or Helper program, the player enters the game address and connects to the game server. The first thing they will see is the menu of different games available. Some Helper Programs:
