These commands can be executed from any game prompt without interrupting the flow of the game. Example: You are on StarDock, in the Shipyards:
<Shipyards> Your option (?) ?
If you hit the ` key:
Federation comm-link: [<ENTER> for multiple lines]

So you can converse on Fedcomm to anyone online, or on SubSpace to your corpmates.
Hit the '/' key and get a quick stats update without affecting your current prompt.
