CIM Mode

CIM Mode is a feature in the game to download a list of sectors and or ports you visited into a text format. It is for Tradewars Helper programs to map out sectors and find paired ports and other things.

In the old days, you had to enter ASCII codes of 250, 251, 253, 254, 255 usually done by holding down the ALT key and using the keypad. Most TW helpers can do this automatically. The current TWGS version 1.03 and on allows you to enter interrogation mode by hitting the ^ key.

CIM data can be exported as text files or TWX files to exchange between corp members in email or Instant Message. Using it they can share their data to get a better map of the universe. Combining it with ZTM or zero turn mapping data can help find bubbles and dead ends in unexplored sectors.
